Description

Sigma's 17-50mm F2.8 EX DC OS HSM large-aperture standard zoom lens covers a focal length from 17mm wide angle and offers a large aperture of F2.8 throughout the entire zoom range, making it ideal for many types of photography especially portraiture and landscapes. The OS, Sigma's anti shake feature offers the use of shutter speeds approximately 4 stops slower than would otherwise be possible. HSM provides fast and quiet AF. Sigma's own FLD glass elements, which have performance equal to fluorite along with two glass mold and one hybrid aspherical lens, provide excellent correction for all types of aberrations. The Super Multi-Layer coating reduces flare and ghosting. This lens boasts superior peripheral brightness and provides sharp, high contrast images even at the maximum apertures. With a minimum focusing distance of 11 inches throughout the entire zoom range and a magnification ratio of 1:5. If you need to be ready for any photographic opportunity, even low light, then this Sigma lens is perfect. Compact and light weight, it's a necessary addition to your camera bag. great lens buy it if you can't afford the 17-35mm,its very sharp and you won't notice the difference between this lens and the suppose to be superior 17-35 which will cost much more, for just 3 extra millimeter wide ,i just move back and that solves it ....buy it and you won't regret it,i have the 17-35 and this one same optics
The Nikon 20-35mm f/2.8 D was introduced in the fall of 1993. It was Nikon's first professional ultra wide zoom. It immediately was found in every pro's bag.The 20-35mm was, and still is, expensive. They sold for about $1,500 new in the 1990s, about $600 used in 2007 and about $700 used in 2010. $700 is still a lot less than any other Nikon professional ultra wide zoom.Compatibility: The 20-35mm AF-D works with everything Nikon has made from 1959.What more could you want from a work horse like this?
