A Little Heavy
I tend to prefer the light weight of leather bands. While I wouldn't characterize This piece as lightweight, it's ok. Otherwise, it's everything you would expect from AuPi in this price range. Some reviewers have mentioned a lack of movie projection or things like submarines. It's a watch. Read the description, people; if you do, and you have r e a s o n a b l e expectations of a watch, you'll be happy.
Can't afford not to!
I was on the fence about getting this timepiece, while I have purchased Maurice LaCroix, Hamilton, Longines, and Doxa watches online previously, I had always figured that when I step up a class to the 7-figure models I'd probably do it in-store, while gnawing on '29 Lafitte-braised baby unicorn shanks and being attended to by a retinue of seconded manservants. Then I saw that free shipping was being offered, i jumpred on the deal. and boom, a couple of clicks later and this baby was on its way via UPS. It's a pretty cool watch, generally when I wear it I am surrounded by a bevy of supermodels asking to see my Tourbillon which can be annoying but anyhow the numbers are pretty easy to read and it generally doesn't need to be wound though on Saturdays after I drink a case of Keystone Light and don't get up till noon it occasionally stops which sux. I'm kind of glad I bought it but also kind of fearful it will end up gathering dust someday next to my old Rollerblades and my Guttenberg bible. Also the strap gave me a rash.

It's okay.
I bought this watch for my three children. It was for his 7th birthday. Thankfully it wasn't too expensive, because my child was distraught. He immediately threw it off of our Manhattan penthouse, so I also threw him off of it. I went downstairs and it was still surviving. I was rather happy with it, so i bought more for each day of the week. They're not too classy so I wear them to sleep. My casio digital watch may be a better option, as it perhaps shows the time in a glowing matter, making it easier to see at midnight.
Buyer beware
While this is an extraordinary time piece, there is no way it is worth the price. It shouldn't cost more than a flat $1,000,000 - tops! But, hey, that two year limited warranty is hard to beat. And I do like the fact that it runs on nuclear power. A gentle rocking motion of the hand and the watch the watch cqn morph into a submarine, a fighter jet or a warhead. Not only that, at the touch of a button it will play Inna Godda Da Vida, Happy Birthday or Auld Lang Syne. Yes, indeed - the hand that rocks this watch rules the world. Get'em while their hot!
Great watch but:
Good watch, but sometimes runs fast. If you really want a quality timepiece, look to Timex or Casio. They're well worth extra expense.
Saved enough to pay off the mortgage on my 3rd vacation home
I cannot believe how awesome this watch is. Some people go through life wondering what if.... well I go through life saying WHY NOT!?. Things were getting a bit rough for us, but thanks to the money I saved on this watch, we were finally able to pay off the mortgage on our home in Vail. Now we have no more financial worries, plus I get to show off the blingiest watch this side of the Mississip. Everything about this watch is amazing, from the time travel ability, to the teleportation button. Haven't had a single issue yet and at 1.03 mil it is a steal. 5/5 would recommend.
This is my third Audemars Piguet and they are consistently fantastic!
Yes, they can be a bit pricey, but if you have the money to throw around you can't beat the quality. I've had my first Audemars for three years and have only had it serviced for repairs four times. It can be tough to find someone in Chicago to service a watch of this price, since most shopowners have never seen or heard of a million dollar watch, but since the components are really the same as a Stuhrling or other comparable $80 watch, they catch on quick. So, other than than the constant issues, the price, and the relatively poor timekeeping, this one is a keeper!
just saved 200k!!!
nice watch, sold 2 homes, a maserati, and a small commuter helicopter to own this timepiece. i wouldnt have bought it without the $20 off coupon and free shipping (in all reality shipping and insurance for this baby would have cost about $10,000 aka a new Kia)
