Fly Me to the Moon (with my Bulova Lunar Pilot Watch)
Had some birthday money to replace an older, cheaper watch and after studying watches of interest reviewed by others - kept seeing great excitement in the Bulova Lunar Pilot for both it's replica quality and historical significance. As a young boy who was fortunate to see Neil Armstrong step onto the moon 50 years ago and having been enamored with the space program and the technologies fostered by it - I thought the history and good-looking and high contrast readability of the watch fit the bill. Further, I could not afford an $8K Omega Speedmaster anyway. It looks great, fits my 7" wrist fine (it is somewhat large, but in line for an "aviator" class of watch), but the NATO strap is about 1/4" too short for me (can barely get the ring over the end of the strap). The leather strap looks nice, but it squeaks somewhat when you move your wrist. As the nicest and most expensive watch I've ever owned, I'm happy with my purchase and recommend the enthusiast or collector seriously consider it, especially if you want an easy to read chronograph that is also extremely accurate at a purported 10 sec/yr accuracy loss. Keep in mind though that with a date feature (which I wanted anyway), will have to reset it about 5X per year to address date variances on certain months and will require resetting the time. It's recommended to do this other than 9pm-3am, as it may damage the gears in the watch... Finally, I really like the start and stop pushers. they are a breeze to use. If they would suit an astronaut with gloves, all the same for me when I wear it with gloves on a cold day. It's a great looking timepiece, and held at an angle the step ring of the outer dial for the seconds vs. chronograph are unique and intriguing (second photo).

Beautiful Watch with History
I am 100% satisfied by y purchase of this watch. It is beautiful and an eye-catcher. The high-frequency mechanism makes it stand out from other quartz watches, in reference to hand movement. Last but not least, this watch comes with an interesting/cool history about how it "survived" the trip to the moon (and it is memorated in the back of the case). Overall a great watch. PS: It looks amazing with NATO (bond-grey/black) strap.
