Far exceeds expectations
I purchased this iconic watch because I was intrigued by its history. I found that it is also a beautiful thing to wear. It fits me perfectly on both supplied straps, looks and performs incredibly well. I am surprised by just how much I love it!

A Great Addition to any Collection
Whether as a stand-alone watch purchase, or just wanting to include a significant watch model in one's collection, this is a terrific buy, most especially with the outstanding pricing here. This is the only other watch to have been used on the lunar surface in a "moon" mission (when an Omega failed), although Bulova timekeeping devices were used extensively in partnership with NASA, and the brand itself has a storied history, not only as a groundbreaking company, but also in ties with the US Military, when it was an American company. Under the Japanese ownership of Citizen, Bulova has continued to develop, and this model has the highly regarded "high beat" movement that defines much of the top end Bulova line, giving a "sweep" movement on the chrono hand and providing outstanding accuracy. This model also benefits from a sapphire crystal (would be nice if Bulova did more of that upgrade) and comes with a few extra goodies, a strap tool and a strap commemorating the moon mission (also engraved on the caseback) details. It has, disappointingly, only 50m WR, and I did not care for the "carbon" look strap, hence the loss of a star (I swapped mine out, to a waterproof black leather with white stitching on a deployment clasp -- looks and wears much better). Seems Bulova would do well to up their game a bit more in such areas, for greater brand respect, especially since their retail prices put them next to better equipped competitors. But, at a grey market price, you're getting a lot of watch here, no doubt, and it's a matter of getting much more than you're paying for at this price point. Design is tasteful, size is excellent, and of course the overall look echoes the very handsome Omega Speedmaster, the more "famous" moon watch that this one had to replace on that mission. Performance is excellent and, as both a piece of history and just as an outstanding, accurate chronograph watch, you just can't go wrong with this model, which is why it is widely loved among collectors. One might call it the poor man's Speedy, but it really does stand on its own merits and certainly stood in when Omega couldn't, so it deserves the respect it gets, especially in this updated, modern format, with the impressive high accuracy quartz movement. I've long wanted one of these, but didn't feel it justifiable at the retail price (double, basically) so finding it in the super affordable range here was an opportunity I could not pass. Did need the strap swap, for me, but the end result was perfect, and I'm very pleased with the purchase.

This is a great watch despite it is in the big side, it wears very comfortable with the nylon strap.
