Reviews

I previously used the FR 15 and wanted to upgrade, I chose the 235 because I liked the idea of having the built in HR monitor as well as the sleep tracking. I find this watch as a good watch, but it has some quirks that I don't really care for when running. I had to turn off the auto pause because it was too sensitive and sometimes not sensitive enough. When I actually had to pause at a stop light, it would not auto pause, but when I actually stopped my watch and turned it back on and started running it would auto pause from 10 seconds to 40 seconds. Missing a good portion of my run. When wearing the watch day to day, I do not feel the watch is big or bulky, but when running with it, I sweat and it slides down my wrist. I tried wearing it tighter, but I still get the same results. I also noticed the step counter is off, It will yell at me to "MOVE" while I am walking or as i just sit down after a short walk. So that shows me that it is not counting all the steps I actually walk. The 15 was more accurate when it came to counting steps.Overall, the watch is still amazing I just don't like some of the things it has, I should have perhaps tried a FR 25.
as advertised. I only have three gripes about this fitness tracker.
1. heart beat measurement for me has an inaccuracy of 2 to 6 BPM, i used the BPM tracker on my elliptical for reference since it uses the metal sensor pad technology and i understand that to be more reliably accurate. for me this discrepancy isn't really an issue but I think its worth knowing about.
2. widgets. I have installed and then later uninstalled several of the side widgets available. While yes they add functionality, they do slow down the responsiveness of the watch.
3. recharge time, if charging from 50% or higher it doesn't take too long to get near 100% (couple of hours). If you let the charge dip below 30% the recharging process can take well over 3 hours. this is problematic when you are wanting to monitor your heart rate a continuously as possible.

Pros: where to start? the standard app is pretty powerful for tracking progress, a fairly accurate pedometer, robust design, and for me a 5 day battery life before a recharge is needed.
