Excellent looking watch
It's much more delicate than the pictures suggest. It is tough but it doesn't look military. It probably will if/when I put it on a nylon strap. It's keeping +3 seconds per day, and looks great for any occasion. I could not verify the claimed 80-hour power reserve because I'm not taking it off my wrist for 80 hours, not any time soon.
Hamilton Khaki King
A handsome watch. Well worth the money.
I love this watch but.....
I’ve had this watch a little over a year or so. It is my everyday watch and I love it. However, as of late, I’ve noticed moisture build up in the crystal. I don’t shower with it on or wear it in a pool. Not sure where the moisture is coming from. It’s somewhat humid where I live but really can’t imagine it’s from that. I understand it’s water resistant but doesn’t seem to be living up to the resistant part. I try really hard not to get it wet or submerged in water. Sure hope the moisture in the crystal goes away.
Great value, awesome watch
This has been my daily beater for about 6 months now. It keeps excellent time and I love the 80 hour power reserve. Mine runs a hair fast but it takes a couple weeks for it to get even 10 or 15 seconds ahead of where I set it, I would guess it's around +/-2 seconds a day. Before I bought it I tried on the 38mm and 42mm in a store and immediately decided on the 38. I don't have small wrists and I can easily wear a 42 but the crown does stick out quite a bit and the 42mm crown stabbed me in the hand when I moved my hand back. I've also decided since then that I personally find 38-40mm to be the perfect size watch for me. The only negative thing I have to say about this watch is I wish it had a screw down crown. I had two occasions in the first couple months where somehow the crown got pulled out (once to the half way position and once all the way out causing the watch to stop). No harm, no foul. Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I noticed I had some condensation on the inside of the crystal. I was working around the house and washing my hands a lot occasionally running the watch under water while doing so. The crown was seated when I checked but it's the only point of failure I can think of on a 100 meter rated watch. And of course the first line in Jomashop's warranty is they don't cover any water/moisture damage. Moral of the story, it's a great watch and I would definitely buy it again but without a screw down crown I'd still be careful with water even though it's a 100 meter watch.
Quality!!!!!!
Good price , great looking , not overly obnoxious size wise. Extremely accurate have not adjusted since purchase, only date needed to be reset.
1 Month Review H-10
Pulled the trigger on this December 2016. Fast overnight shipping. Transaction very smooth. (as advertised) This watch uses the new H-10 movement, which is based on the ETA 2836-2, the regulator has been deleted. Power is reserve 80 hrs. I was a bit hesitant of the new H-10, as it is not easily regulated. No worries! after a month, it is running at +2/sec total. It wears 12 hours on wrist and spends the remainder of the time crown down on the dresser. I tested the rest time in all positions early on and it runs the nearly same regardless of position (testing only measuring against atomic clock). It's positional accuracy is very good. Amazing experience so far with the H-10. The fit n finish is impeccable, the bracelet is above average and all brushed - comfortable. Downside is only 2 pin positions on the micro adjust. 7" wrist is fine. Lume is applied to hands and numerals - charges very bright but settles to a duller version that does last well into the night. Sapphire is double domed and un-coated. This is ok as the hour track is "brushed" and provides a nice contrast to the dial face. Red tip in seconds hand is a nice touch. All in all this is a nice refined watch with modern specifications that is based on a classic Tool watch. If you like classic design with upgrades, don't wait - you can't go wrong at this price point with the Hammy. Pros: Affordable Extremely Readable 100m WR (I have showered and swam with it) Nice modern spec'd version of a classic functional field watch Accuracy (YMMV) mine is insanely good Power researve Fit n Finish very good 20mm lugs (its a strap monster - nato etc) Signed Crown Swiss Cons: no screw down crown (it IS usable in water - I do daily) (make sure crown is seated!!) no AR coating (if you like or require it) 2 pin position on bracelet micro adjustment really not decorated, yet has see thru back
I highly recommend it.
A good watch for a decent price though and nice classic looking timepiece.
Great watch
I've been looking at watches similar to this for a while. I looked at victorinox, wenger, and Raymond Weil. For this price the quality is exceptional and looks like you spent 3x as much. A great quality, classy looking watch wth great mechanics.
Excellent watch
This watch is very classy. I like the style and weight of this watch. I received many compliments. Most people do not know the history of the watch company even though I live so close to the original company that designed the first Hamilton watches.
Owner Since 2008
I've been wearing this very watch since 2008 as my daily beater. after 7 years of ownership, i finally need to bring it in for servicing. 8 minutes slow after 3rd day. I wear this over my IWC, Tudor, and Oris only because I won't cry if it gets a little beat up with my previous line of work. I can't complain. Swiss ETA movements inside, stainless steel band. Money well spent. The funny thing is it will cost me probably 200 bucks to service it lol.
