Reviews

An excellent product! If you are looking for a wireless speaker in this price range (or any other, really) do NOT miss giving this thing a listen. I read about the features and listened to some sound comparisons with the Boze and TDK on youtube. It seemed to give the others a run, so I ordered one. I wasn't worried because I knew that the return policy would protect me if I didn' like it. When I recieved mine and did my own comparisons with the Boze and TDK products I discovered a couple of things. First, all three are excellent products in their own ways. No question. This really surprized me, because I am almost always disappointed by consumer products. Products in reasonable price ranges usually show major compromises between product design, and costs of production. For what I considered to be a half-decent price, I got a product that sounds unfairly close to what one can get from an expensive amp and speakers. Denon got the sound perfectly balanced considering the size and power restrictions. The bass is full-sounding but not bloated like the Boze. The midrange is tremendously natural and realistic sounding. The juiced treble on the Boze might be more exciting for some listeners, but the somewhat softer treble on the Denon places cymbals and guitar strings in proper position on the soundstage, rather than strangely forward, as if the drummer's cymbals are somehow placed in front of the band. The excitement that the tweeked bass and treble on the Boze provides is attractive. However, if you enjoy the instruments sounding as close to how they were recorded, then the Denon wins, for sure. The really amazing thing about the Denon is the way it can thow a large soundstage, where the listener can hear the environment that the music is being played in. If it was recorded to sound like its in a small room, you get that. If the istruments were recorded in a large church, you get that. It makes the music seem so much more alive and real. On the TDK the bass is tight and clear, but you can' tell if it is an electric or acoustic bass, or where the bass player is standing. On the Denon, you CAN tell when it is an acoustic bass, and to some extent where in the room the bass player is standing. You would think the designer of such a small unit would have to juice the treble a bit, so the listener could more easily pick out detail and notice those more subtle differences in the instruments. I can't undertand how the Denon conveys so much detail, without the treble making things like cymbals sound too forward or unrealistic. I have written one other product review in my life. I honestly felt that I needed to congratulate Denon on delivering something that is better than makes sense. Oh yeah; the slimmer and flatter physical design fits WAY better into my bag with my iPad, and that makes a BIG difference to me. When you flip open the stand, it keeps the unit remarkably stable. The weight distribution, combined with this cool grabby material lining the bottom parts makes the unit surprisingly hard to knock over. The controls are conveniently placed along the top where they are easiest to use. I thought that would make it risky, as if working them along the top would make it likely to push the unit over when adjusting it. No way. It feels like the thing is going nowhere when you use the controls. The bluetooth stuff is the latest and best kiind too, I think.
great sound for it size love this speaker

Very good product and great value for the money. I wish only that it had a little more clarity in the higher tones, like a Bose, but the Bose doesn't have as much fullness and punch, as this Denon does. All in all I'm very happy.
