This dash cam is amazing! I don't know how they got so much functionality in such a small package. 1080p and a GPS and HDMI output are just a few of the features. The Instruction book has a steep learning curve, but a careful reading and a little experimentation go a long way to understand the many options. For instance, you can have the camera continue to record for an additional 5 minutes after the power is shut off. This is useful for when you run into the 7-11 for coffee and come right out. You can see if anyone approached your car in the meantime. Recording time can be extended to days by using a 32gig (micro SD card) and lowering the resolution, which is still very good. They even give you an extra long cord for the cigarette lighter so you can easily route it up and out of sight. Another neat feature is that you can easily detach it from the GPS module and use it as a handheld for up to 20 minutes.

I like this model of dash cam mirror because it is black, will go with almost any auto interior, and looks like an OEM mirror. It's very thin and attaches to your standard mirror with some rubber straps. Many dash cams that have a rear camera will only record from the front camera and the rear camera is merely to monitor the rear. I want to be able to record all the action from the front and rear of my vehicle, and this one does that. On this model, the monitor panel is slightly offset to the right, this means that the major portion of the left hand side will act like a regular mirror to see to the rear. Some models of dash cam mirrors have the monitor panel set directly in the middle, which can create an annoying reflection. All of the dash cam mirrors that I tried have a blue hue to them as they have to conceal the monitor panel. This blue hue can take some getting used to, but not too bad. I have used this for a couple of days now, but I like the features and how it performs and am confident that it will capture any road incident.
