I have been incredibly happy with this G Shock. I purchased this to have a rugged watch option while on vacation which included a lot of swimming and outdoor activity. You never have to worry about taking this off. I love the design as it's masculine with an extremely large face but yet not overly "loud" since its all black. It's also very light considering its size. It is the most comfortable watch I own and I regularly forget it's on my wrist. Overall, an amazing day to day watch that can take almost anything you put it through

Big, but not too big. I am getting older, and having a harder time seeing anything, even with bifocals. This watch is perfect for me! I did a size comparison with my G-100. There is nothing wrong with the G-100, I love it. It is just too small for me to see, especially @ night. I will not send the 100 back, because someone will eventually need it here.
This new watch has big hands, and big digital area. Someone said the back light was too dimm. I totally disagree! The back light, lights up the entire face, in the dark.

So far so good. I took this watch fishing and it held up fine. Water splashes and submersion didn't affect it at all. The dial is big and easy to read In low light, but also has a good backlight when it gets real dark outside. It has an alarm and also beeps every hr. if you want. I found that useful and handy. I wouldn't say this is a real classy looking watch you'd wear to work, but very utilitarian. Great for travel and outdoor activities.
Several weeks later: still works like a champ after traveling and outdoor activities. However, you really have to devote yourself to learning all the features this watch has to offer. It's cool to have so many functions, but if you don't wear the watch all the time you'll soon forget how to set some of its functions.
