beautiful watch, but easy to scratch. Be cautious!
This watch is very nice looking, and I read many articles and reviews on PVD coatings. Some PVD coatings are stronger then others, so I assumed this being a watch thats over $600, the coating must be pretty strong. Thats not really the case, which is truly upsetting considering this is supposed to be a field tactical watch. You would think it could take some hits with no problems. I bumped the sink while doing the dishes in my home, and scratched the coating. I was walking down my stairs at home and slightly grazed the wall, and left a permanent mark on the watch. Im told by both jomashop and hamilton that there is nothing they can do, the scratches cant be fixed. Im sure its possible to re-coat the entire watch for a ridiculously high price. So unless you have lots of money to spend, or you don't mind a watch that scratches easily, I would probably stay away. Im now always aware of my wrists surroundings because I know any bump will make its mark on the watch. It seems like its not actually a field watch, but more of a watch that makes you look like your into the outdoors, but not really. Its just for show. Maybe with time, the scratches will give the watch its own "personality". Thats true, although, if one ever did decide to trade the watch or sell it down the road, it will most definitely lose a lot of value. I don't think many people would buy a black watch with marks all over it, unless the price were dropped considerable. I didnt even get through a week in my own home to see if I liked the watch before the coating started coming off. Im very disapointed at the fact that this watch was made out to be a durable field watch, so I think its wrongly advertised. Im giving the watch 3 stars because when it arrived it looked great, it felt great, and it worked. However, it loses 2 stars for poor quality in the black coating, and for not warning customers about how easy the coating can come off. This was my first time buying through jomashop and first time buying a hamilton watch. Im unhappy with both companies. Lastly, the inside of the strap is rubber I believe. Some descriptions say leather, or textile and others say rubber. I think its rubber, and after two weeks it starts to smell and the white stitching turned yellow, so be cautious in hot weather (yea great field watch). I tried cleaning the strap with an alcohol pad and it permanently put shine marks all over the inside of the strap (rubber side/ or is it leather, no wait, its textile) basically ruining its texture. Then Im told after the damage is done, not to use alcohol pads. ok Im done.

Super lightweight since it's Titanium. I'm still struggling with the 3 o'clock date and the half 3. They should just move the date over the 3 completely so the 15 is aligned naturally with 14 and 16. Looks weird. Also the second hand is blacked out except for the tip with is hard to find when first looking at the watch.

This watch is looking very professional. No gaps or other failure. 42 mm of diameter are pretty enough to get a great look upon my wrist. Would buy this watch again.

I have wanted a good mechanical watch for some time. Never wanted to afford the Hamilton or a much more expensive brand. I am glad I waited to finally do it. This watch is simple with key features, like date window, night glow luminescence and black coated titanium. It is light, accurate and also discreet. It is my favorite watch and my others will sit in the case, because this is the only one I want to wear every day. It is good man bling without over blingage ;)
