Hamilton watches have a history of quality and pride in its design and workmanship. This watch is no exception to this belief. When you look at it online, you can't really see its true beauty. With watches today getting bigger and bigger both in the case size and depth, this watch is refreshing in its design and pictures don't really do it justice, to say the least. Looking at it online, it appears to have a large appearing case and almost too big in some ways, but when you get one in your hands and look at its scale and proportioning, it's perfectly balanced throughout. The watch has a very high quality feel of sophistication and refinement. The dial isn't over-bearing it its size and look is perfect; the sliver brushed finish of the dial and roman numerals and very soft and ornate in appearance, with the date at the right side just visible enough, not too big or small, in essence...beautiful!!! The band is likewise perfect in its scale and sizing, the links are a mix of brushed and polished stainless steel and shines not matter what angle it is turned at. The hidden clasp on the bottom, another sign of the Hamilton quality, makes the band appear to wrap around endlessly and gives a beautiful 360 view of this fine watch. I have a large wrist, and with other watches I've owned in the past, I've always had to have additional links fitted to the band; this watch fit me perfect out of the box, snug with just a little movement but no rolling. The case itself also features this mix of brushed and polished stainless steel and really adds to the beauty and quality and detailing of this watch. This watch shines more than photos show, just a perfect balance of sheen and shine. Now to the true quality of this watch, its operation. Upon first glance, you will see the true Hamilton Swiss made quality. The sweep second hand makes 6 ticks per second and is flawless in its movement and speaks loud and clear of the quality hidden inside this watch. The hand movement is equally accurate as is the date movement. The quality of the Swiss movement hidden inside equals the Hamilton beauty outside. There is nothing I can say negative about this watch. It is a true joy to own and wear; it looks like a watch worth far more than its list price and is a fantastic bargain at these discount prices. In closing, I have to say again, pictures cannot due justice to this watch; its beauty and style is far, far more than can be shown two-dimensionally in photographs. When you buy one, and I hope you will, you will be amazed when you open the box and see it in person for the first time and hold and feel the quality so well known to Hamilton.
