Description

The SPRINT PRO 150 is born to travel, at home in luggage on a backpack or out on the range this compact tripod is a perfect travel companion to a light-weight mirrorless interchangeable lens camera (ILC) system or light weight DSLR. With a capacity of 4.5 lbs. the tripod can handle up to a midrange DSLR with a standard or kit lens. SPRINT PRO 150 has padded leg wraps for more comfortable carrying. The tripod also has a versatile SLIK SBH-150DQ all-metal compact ball head with quick release system for faster, easier mounting of a camera. The SPRINT PRO 150 is a full sized tripod when it is extended to its maximum height of almost 64 inches. The adjustable legs angles can be used to splay the legs out and lower the tripod. When used with the built-in short center column, (the included center column unscrews into two pieces) the camera is just 6.4 inches off the ground for extremely low angle or macro photography out in the field. Another way to get the camera low is to reverse the center column which could be used for macro photography or copy work.

Outstanding tripod. I use it for backpacking. The foam on the tripod shields your hands from the metal when the temperature drops. The ball head and quick release plate are stable and hold my Sony a6500 stable with a Canon 28mm 1.8 and adapter. The legs have some flex when fully extended, but once placed firmly on the ground it takes a fair amount of wind to cause any vibration. It is quite small and about as light as I can trust a tripod to be with my equipment on top. I used the Manfrotto compact tripods beforehand, but this is smaller, lighter, and less expensive. Manfrotto is still great and I will continue to use them, but this has completely taken over as a travel and pack tripod.
Needed a sturdy tripod but wasn't willing to shell out around $300 for a truly high quality one. This one served its purpose for my trip to iceland quite nicely. It isn't too bulky, the simple, quick camera attach, release function was perfect for cold nights with gloved hands trying to rush to capture the northern lights. While the lightness is mostly a pro, I will note it did not hold up against the wind as much as I was hoping, but aside from that it was perfect and helped me capture once in a lifetime images like these.
This is a great tripod. It took a few others till I found this one. The weight is Ideal for my travel pack. I mean ideal 2.3 lbs trumps 3.12 lbs that I was trying to lug around. It has a single lock ball head that is a little tricky, but they added levels on the 2 axis's that really make it simple. Anyone that has fiddled with a single lock ball head knows what I am referring too. The legs flex a bit, but I love this tripod and added a hook under the center column to hang some weight if I need to stabilize it more. It's rated at 4.6 lbs capacity and I believe this to be true. Just a word of caution in this regard, A camera body and long lens may weigh "X" on a postal scale, but the leverage affect of that long lens really ratchets the weight up. This may not be the best chose for you if that is the case. but works fine for my every day 18-200mm lens. Of course your mileage may vary, my intent is to keep you from having a collection like I do.
Very lightweight travel tripod. The head is junk and I have since replaced it with a higher quality one. Don't expect the legs to be as solid as a full size tripod, but for when i'm backpacking or am confined on space, this is a fantastic option to have. Packs up incredible small and works well enough. I don't extend it completely when I take photos as it feels a bit unstable. I have uploaded a handful of photos comparing it to a really old manfrotto 190 that I use on occasion.
